He served as an associate minister at the New Olivet Baptist Church of Lynwood California and at the Canaan Missionary Baptist Church of Mesa Arizona. Believing that the call to ministry is a call to preparation, Reverend Juan Brown received his training by the late Reverend Dr. L.A. After proving himself for several years in the work of the ministry and his commitment to doctrinal studies, Reverend Brown was licensed and ordained a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At the age of 22, Reverend Brown displayed a remarkable gift of preaching and the gift of Shepherding, he was the youngest minister at the New Olivet Church to be called into ministry on a full-time basis.

Reverend Brown continued to excel in both the science and art of preaching. He displayed a strong talent in the area of church organization and administration and as a result was given pastoral responsibilities in the church ministry that should have been given to a more seasoned man.

He desires to make disciples of men, women, boys and girls teaching them to observe all things that Christ has taught him. This can be seen in the formation of the “PBC School of Discipleship, and the Pastors and Leaders School” of which serves the church and community at large.
